Muhammad Waseem and Khuzaima bin Tanveer departed Karachi Kings after the Emirates Cricket Board directed them to participate in the ongoing Emirates D50 domestic tournament.
The recall occurred during the 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League, where Karachi Kings currently lead the standings with three consecutive victories.
Muhammad Waseem, who is the national team captain for the UAE team and top-order batter, was acquired by Karachi Kings for PKR 1.10 crore during the PSL 2026 auction.
Khuzaima bin Tanveer, a left-arm spinner, joined the squad earlier this season but has now returned to fulfil commitments in the Emirates domestic competition.
The Emirates Cricket Board confirmed both players could rejoin Karachi Kings after completing their required appearances in the D50 tournament.
Officials said all franchises were informed about the possibility of national recalls, highlighting the balance between international leagues and domestic cricket obligations.
Pakistani-born cricketer Muhammad Waseem has scored 61 runs in three PSL matches for Kings at the average of 20.33 and strike rate of 119.60.
