Islamabad United confirmed a last-minute change to their PSL 11 squad, replacing injured Australian Max Bryant with fellow countryman Chris Green ahead of the tournament starting on March 26.
Bryant, signed by the United for Rs19.5 million in the first-ever auction, was ruled out due to an injury, forcing the three-time champions to find a replacement immediately.
The franchise announced on social media that Green, a prominent bowling all-rounder, would replace Bryant for the upcoming tournament, ensuring the squad remains competitive.
The 32-year-old has earned recognition in major franchise leagues, including the IPL, SA20, Caribbean Premier League, and The Hundred, making him one of the most sought-after T20 all-rounders.
Green has previous PSL experience, representing Multan Sultans in 2019, where he claimed four wickets and scored 27 runs in five matches, showcasing his ability to contribute in both batting and bowling.
Islamabad United will begin their PSL 11 campaign on Saturday, facing Multan Sultans at the Gaddafi Stadium, in what promises to be an exciting start for the three-time champions.
The 11th edition of the Pakistan Super League features eight teams, including newcomers RawalPindiz and Hyderabad Kingsmen, competing across 44 matches over a 39-day period.
