Multan Sultans have released opening batter Sahibzada Farhan and middle‑order batter Sohaib Maqsood from the squad, granting leave under the official free‑day policy.
According to the details, Sahibzada Farhan has travelled to Peshawar, while Sohaib Maqsood has departed for Multan following management approval for temporary squad release.
Head coach Tim Paine and team owner Gohar Shah directed the implementation of the free‑day policy, allowing players scheduled rest days during the tournament.
The management confirmed players enjoy complete freedom during designated rest days, enabling personal time away from squad commitments before returning refreshed.
The spokesperson stated the initiative aims to prepare players for high‑intensity matches, ensuring readiness through balanced rest periods and structured squad rotation during the season.
Both Sahibzada Farhan and Sohaib Maqsood will rejoin the squad before the scheduled fixture on 13 April, ahead of the next competitive match of former champions.
Following the 13 April fixture, other players and coaching staff will also be released under the same free‑day policy, according to the team administration.
Earlier in the marquee event, Karachi Kings also released foreign players, including captain David Warner, to take rest from the tournament.
It is worth noting that the ongoing edition of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 2026 has shifted to Karachi after the first 11 matches were played at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
National Bank Cricket Stadium in Karachi is scheduled to host 22 matches of the ongoing season before the tournament returns to Lahore for its final leg.
