Peshawar Zalmi defeated Hyderabad Kingsmen by four wickets, securing their second victory in Pakistan Super League (PSL) eleventh edition at National Bank Stadium in Karachi.
Hyderabad Kingsmen, batting first, were dismissed for 145 runs in 18.2 overs, with Kusal Perera top-scoring with 58 off 35 balls including seven boundaries.
Iftikhar Ahmed delivered a decisive bowling spell, claiming four wickets for 21 runs, while Sufiyan Muqeem matched the impact with four wickets for 32 runs.
Zalmi’s chase began shakily at 17-1 after Mohammad Haris fell early, but Babar Azam and Kusal Mendis steadied the innings with a 49-run partnership.
Mendis contributed 27 runs before dismissal, while Bracewell added 25 runs, yet Babar Azam’s 43 off 37 balls remained the anchor of Zalmi’s pursuit.
Late wickets from Hyderabad bowlers created tension, reducing Zalmi to 125-6, but Iftikhar Ahmed’s unbeaten 15 guided the team to victory in the final over.
Aamer Jamal contributed six runs alongside Iftikhar, ensuring Zalmi reached the 146-run target, completing their second win of the tournament and deepening Hyderabad Kingsmen’s ongoing struggles.
