Defending champions Lahore Qalandars have welcomed Sikandar Raza to Pakistan for pre-season preparations ahead of the 2026 campaign.
The Pakistan-born Zimbabwe captain will join training sessions ahead of the opening fixture against Hyderabad Kingsmen at Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.
Raza has scored 7,097 runs in T20 cricket at an average of 25.80 with a strike rate of 135.87. His tally includes one century, highlighting his status as a top all-rounder.
With the ball, he has taken 236 wickets in 349 matches at an average of 26.29 and an economy rate of 7.31, with best bowling figures of 5/18.
Meanwhile, the three-time champions have begun pre-season preparations with a training camp at the Smart Qalandars High Performance Centre in Islamabad.
During the camp, wicketkeeper Haseebullah Khan and top-order batter Mohammad Farooq were seen practicing intensive batting drills.
Franchise owner Sameen Rana said the camp was designed to help players build coordination and understanding quickly, given the limited preparation time before the season begins.
Rana also confirmed a two-day training camp after Eid-ul-Fitr to fully utilise the short preparation window and maintain momentum ahead of the tournament.
He added that players from the Prime Minister Youth Programme were included in the camp, giving emerging talent a chance to train alongside established squad members.
