The HBL Pakistan Super League has opened nominations for the 11th edition of the HBL PSL Hamaray Heroes initiative, inviting fans across the country to submit names of inspiring individuals.
Nominations can be submitted through an online form, with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) setting a deadline of 3pm on Tuesday, March 24, 2026, for fans to send their entries.
Hamaray Heroes was first introduced during the fifth edition in 2020 and has since become a widely recognised initiative celebrating individuals making positive contributions to society.
The programme will return for its sixth consecutive year during the 11th edition of the league, which will feature eight teams for the first time in the history of the tournament.
The upcoming season will begin on March 26 at the Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore’, where defending champions Lahore Qalandars will face debutants Hyderabad Kingsmen in the opening match.
Through the Hamaray Heroes initiative, the Pakistan Cricket Board highlights individuals whose work has contributed to society while helping promote a positive image of Pakistan.
Previous recipients of recognition under the initiative include mountaineer Ali Sadpara, Olympic gold medallist Arshad Nadeem, professional esports player Arslan Ash, wrestler Inam Butt and Olympic swimmer Kiran Khan.
Other personalities honoured include boxer Mohammad Wasim and astrophysicist Dr Mariam Sultana, who became the first Pakistani to complete a PhD in astrophysics.
After nominations close, a Pakistan Cricket Board panel will review submissions and shortlist candidates who will be recognised during matches of the forthcoming HBL Pakistan Super League season.
Shortlisted individuals will receive cash awards during league matches, while fans will also watch short documentaries about their achievements across HBL PSL digital platforms and live broadcasts.
Fans can nominate individuals from different fields including sports other than cricket, education, healthcare, art, culture, music, social work, social entrepreneurship and technology.
Individuals, groups, organisations and businesses may be nominated in multiple categories if they meet the eligibility criteria set by the Pakistan Cricket Board for the initiative.
Nominees must be citizens of Pakistan, individuals of Pakistani heritage, residents of Pakistan or organisations officially registered within the country.
