Pta Reports Rise In 3g 4g Users And Teledensity In Pakistan For March 2025

ISLAMABAD: According to the latest data released by the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA), the number of 3G/4G users in Pakistan as well as mobile penetration saw a steady increase in March 2025.



The number of 3G and 4G users in Pakistan rose from 141.64 million at the end of February 2025 to 143.442 million by the end of March. This growth also pushed the Next Generation Mobile Service (NGMS) penetration rate from 57.68% in February to 58.31% by March.

Overall teledensity — the total number of mobile connections per 100 people — increased from 80.87% to 81.3% over the same period. Cellular subscribers across the country also grew, rising from 196.017 million at the end of February to 197.447 million by March’s end.

Among individual telecom operators, Jazz maintained its 3G user count at zero, while its 4G subscribers rose from 52.395 million in February to 53.301 million in March. Zong’s 3G users dropped from 1.785 million to 1.766 million, while its 4G user base increased from 39.594 million to 39.998 million.



Telenor saw its 3G subscribers decline from 1.158 million to 1.094 million, while 4G users rose from 25.967 million to 26.371 million during the same period. Ufone’s 3G users slightly decreased from 1.911 million to 1.880 million, while its 4G subscribers increased from 17.093 million to 17.305 million.

The steady rise in 3G/4G users in Pakistan and improved teledensity reflects continued digital adoption across the country, highlighting a positive trend in mobile connectivity and internet access.
