Annual Class 8 board examinations will be held in March, with exams scheduled to start from March 5, education authorities have announced. The decision marks the official return of the board examination system for Class 8 after a gap of four years.

Education officials confirmed that the board examination framework for Class 8 has been restored to strengthen academic assessment and ensure uniform evaluation standards. The move is aimed at improving learning outcomes and bringing consistency across schools in the province.

The Punjab Examination Commission, also operating under the Punjab Education, Curriculum, Training and Assessment Authority, has finalized the examination schedule and begun preparations. Authorities stated that the exams will be conducted across Punjab under a uniform examination pattern.

To ensure smooth execution, focal persons have been nominated from all District Education Authorities. Officials added that logistical and administrative arrangements are being finalized to conduct the examinations in an organized and transparent manner throughout the province.
