Punjab Home Department has extended Section 144 enforcement, maintaining a province‑wide ban on outdoor drone flights for 30 days due to security concerns.
According to the official notification, the restriction applies across Punjab province, directing district administrations and police to ensure strict compliance with the orders.
Limited use of small drones will be permitted indoors at halls and marquees during events, with organizers fully responsible for safe operation.
Intelligence agencies and law enforcement institutions remain exempt, allowing continued drone use for official and operational purposes.
The Home Department also announced the formation of district‑level “Safe Drone Usage Committees.” Written approval from these committees will allow drones for approved activities, including agriculture, irrigation, and research.
