Punjab Extends Recruitment Schedule for School Teaching Interns Applicants

The Punjab government has once again revised the recruitment schedule for School Teaching Interns (STIs), extending the application deadline and adjusting the entire timeline to streamline the process. The move comes as thousands of applicants continue to face portal delays and documentation issues during submission.

Officials confirmed that the new deadline for online applications is now November 26, 2025, giving candidates additional time to complete their forms. This is the second extension granted after the education department received a high volume of applications and multiple complaints regarding system accessibility.

According to the updated plan, merit lists will be displayed on December 1, 2025, followed by a two-day window from December 2 to 3 for addressing complaints at the tehsil level. Shortlisted applicants will appear for interviews on December 4, while the final merit list will be uploaded on the official portal and displayed at schools on December 5 at 10 AM.

An official remarked that the extension aims to

“ensure transparency and allow all eligible candidates a fair chance to apply,” emphasizing that the department wants the process to run smoothly.

The STI program, launched to address teacher shortages in government schools, has seen overwhelming interest across the province. Authorities have urged applicants to closely follow the revised schedule and remain prepared for the upcoming phases of recruitment.
