In a landmark decision to strengthen digital security, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced the creation of a Cyber Crime Investigation Unit aimed at combating online crimes across the province.
The new unit will focus on investigating and preventing cyber offenses, protecting citizens from digital fraud, hacking, and other forms of online criminal activity. Officials stated that this initiative is part of the provincial government’s ongoing efforts to make Punjab a safer region in both physical and digital spaces.
