The Punjab Transport Company has launched a paid internship program offering a Rs. 50,000 monthly stipend, providing students and fresh graduates with a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in key public sector departments. The initiative aims to bridge the gap between academic learning and practical exposure while supporting youth employability across Punjab.
According to the official announcement issued on Thursday, the internship program will run for two months and is open to candidates from multiple academic backgrounds. The available departments include Information Technology, Operations and Planning, Finance and Accounts, Civil Engineering and Infrastructure, as well as Marketing and Communication.
A spokesperson for the Punjab Transport Company stated,
“This internship program is designed to equip young professionals with real-world experience while allowing them to contribute meaningfully to public sector projects.”
Applicants must hold a bachelor’s degree from an HEC-recognized institution in a relevant field. Students who are currently enrolled in related degree programs may also apply, provided they submit an official reference letter from their university.
Selected interns will receive a fixed stipend of Rs. 50,000 for the duration of the program. The company clarified that the internship is temporary and does not guarantee permanent employment. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further process.
The last date to apply is January 28, 2026. The organization also reserves the right to accept or reject applications without providing any reason.
The announcement comes at a time when provincial governments are increasingly focusing on youth skill development and paid internship initiatives to address graduate unemployment. Punjab has recently expanded similar programs across various departments to promote practical learning and workforce readiness.
