The Punjab Directorate of Drugs Control has issued an urgent recall alert for certain batches of the widely used Injection SATAMIN, after tests revealed the medicine to be substandard and adulterated. The alert has prompted immediate action from both retailers and manufacturers to ensure public safety.
According to an official statement, the Directorate has instructed all wholesalers, retailers, and distributors holding the affected batches to halt their sale and use immediately. They are also required to report their current inventory and consumption records to the local drug inspectors without delay.
The recall comes after Drug Testing Laboratories Punjab found the listed medicine to be below quality standards. Following these findings, the Provincial Quality Control Board directed that the substandard batches be withdrawn from the market without any delay.

Manufacturers of Injection SATAMIN have also been directed to remove the substandard batches from the market and ensure that the recall order is fully followed. The Directorate stressed that compliance is critical to protect public health.
