The Punjab government has rolled out a new CRM-based e-Registration app that brings key civil registrations to citizens’ phones. The launch, developed through a partnership between the Local Government Department and NADRA, reflects the province’s growing shift toward digital public services.
Provincial Minister for Local Government Zeeshan Rafiq unveiled the app and said the platform supports online registration for births, deaths, marriages, and divorces. He noted that users can now complete these essential processes from home, which removes long visits to union councils.
The system connects directly with NADRA’s database to update records automatically. This link improves accuracy and reduces delays that often affect manual submissions. It also helps authorities verify information quickly.
Rafiq explained that the integration will streamline data collection across Punjab. All union councils will be connected to the new system, which is expected to create a more efficient and transparent record-keeping structure.
With this rollout, the government aims to modernize routine registrations and make public services more accessible to residents.
