The Punjab government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, has officially launched a new IT Internship Program aimed at empowering fresh IT and Computer Science graduates with modern technological skills and career opportunities.
The initiative, part of the Digital Punjab Vision, offers hands-on training in advanced market technologies along with a monthly stipend of Rs 50,000 to support interns financially while they build professional experience.
According to the government, eligible candidates must hold a degree in IT or Computer Science (completed within the last four years), possess a Punjab domicile, and have a valid CNIC.
A spokesperson from the Chief Minister’s Office stated,
“This program reflects the government’s commitment to equipping youth with practical tech skills that align with global job market needs, helping them start their careers with confidence.”
Officials added that the internship program is expected to bridge the gap between academic learning and industry demands, fostering innovation and job readiness among Punjab’s young professionals.
