The Punjab Mass Transit Authority (PMA) has clarified that the official price of the T-Cash Card remains Rs. 130, dismissing reports suggesting any price increase.
The T-Cash Card is widely used for payments on Punjab’s mass transit system, including buses and metro services. Recent rumors about a price hike had caused confusion among passengers.
The PMA explained that no additional charges have been imposed by the authority or the Transport Department. The total cost sometimes appears higher due to optional services: Rs. 130 for TCS home delivery and Rs. 15 for online platform service charges. The home delivery option was introduced to enhance passenger convenience, especially after the expansion of the transit system across multiple cities. Station-based card delivery has been discontinued to manage increased passenger volume.
The authority also highlighted that the T-Cash Card is now usable on EV buses in cities including Lahore, Faisalabad, Bahawalpur, Bahawalnagar, Rahim Yar Khan, Jhelum, Sahiwal, and Gujjar Khan.
“The card’s base price remains unchanged at Rs. 130. Any additional amounts reflect optional delivery or online processing charges, not a government-imposed price increase,” clarified the PMA.
This clarification aims to ensure passengers have accurate information and can continue using the T-Cash Card without concern over inflated costs.
