Punjab Offers 210 Government Services Online Starting February 1

The Punjab government will make 210 services from 15 departments accessible online via the e-Biz Portal starting February 1, 2026. This initiative is part of the Chief Minister’s digital governance plan, aiming to expand online service delivery and minimize the need for citizens to visit government offices. By March, the portal is expected to offer 310 services, enhancing efficiency and public access across the province.

The Administrative Secretaries’ Committee, led by Chief Secretary Zahid Akhtar Zaman, approved this expansion during a recent meeting at the Civil Secretariat. Officials highlighted that the rollout of the e-FOAS system at departmental and field levels would streamline administrative workflows, improve decision-making, and reduce bureaucratic delays.

“The transition to digital platforms will make government services more accessible and reduce repeated visits to offices,” Zaman said.

The e-Biz Portal allows citizens to access multiple government services from a single platform, including licensing, certificates, permits, and departmental approvals. The Punjab Information Technology Board has been tasked with ensuring that the March target of 310 services is met.

This move reflects Punjab’s commitment to leveraging technology for transparent, citizen-friendly governance. Digitalization also aligns with broader provincial efforts to modernize administrative processes and improve service delivery efficiency.
