The Punjab government has begun accepting applications for the School Teacher Internship (STI) Program, creating new opportunities for aspiring educators across the province.
The provincial cabinet and the Chief Minister of Punjab have approved the hiring of 12,500 teacher interns under this initiative. The recruitment drive includes subject specialists and IT professionals who will support efforts to improve teaching quality and learning outcomes in schools.
The School Education Department stated that the program is designed to provide practical classroom experience to educated youth interested in pursuing teaching careers. Selected interns will be assigned to primary, elementary, high, and higher secondary schools across Punjab.
