The Punjab School Education Department has announced a new round of e-transfers for teachers who have recently been promoted, are awaiting postings, or wish to apply for mutual transfers.
According to an official notification issued on Monday, teachers will be able to submit their transfer applications through the e-transfer system from June 23 to June 30, 2026.
The department stated that the latest transfer cycle is intended to facilitate the placement of promoted teachers and streamline staffing requirements across public schools in the province. Teachers seeking mutual transfers with colleagues will also be eligible to apply during the specified period.
Under the announced schedule, appeals submitted by teachers will be reviewed between July 1 and July 6, while final transfer and posting orders are scheduled to be issued on July 9, 2026.
Education authorities have directed district education offices to ensure that all promoted teachers are properly tagged and updated in the School Information System (SIS) to avoid delays in the transfer process.
The notification further warned that teachers who fail to submit an adequate number of preferences for vacant posts, or do not submit any preferences at all, may be assigned to available vacancies by the department through the SIS portal.
Officials said the initiative aims to improve transparency and efficiency in teacher postings while ensuring that vacant positions in schools are filled in a timely manner.
The e-transfer system has become a key component of Punjab’s education administration reforms, allowing teachers to apply for transfers online and reducing the need for manual processing and paperwork.
Teachers eligible for the current transfer round have been advised to complete their applications within the prescribed deadline to avoid missing the opportunity for preferred postings.
