Separately, applications for MBBS admissions to private medical colleges in Punjab open today (Friday). UHS has set November 6 as the deadline for the 2026-27 academic session, and the first selection list will be announced on November 18.
According to the admission schedule issued by UHS, admissions will be conducted through a centralised system under the Punjab government’s admission policy. Applications for BDS admissions to private dental colleges will be received from December 18 to January 1, 2027. The first selection list will be issued on January 13, 2027.
Punjab has 34 private medical colleges offering around 4,500 MBBS seats and 18 private dental colleges with 1,100 BDS seats. Eligible candidates from all provinces, as well as overseas Pakistanis, may apply subject to the prescribed criteria.
Merit will be calculated on marks obtained in matriculation or an equivalent examination (10pc), FSc pre-medical or an equivalent qualification (40pc), and the Medical and Dental College Admission Test (MDCAT) (50pc).
Candidates must secure at least 55pc marks in the MDCAT for MBBS and 50pc for BDS. A minimum of 60pc marks in FSc (pre-medical) or an equivalent qualification is also required. Selected candidates will have three days to deposit their fees and join their respective colleges.
UHS has set up separate online portals for the two programmes. MBBS applicants can apply at privatembbs.uhs.edu.pk, while BDS applicants can apply at privatebds.uhs.edu.pk. Candidates have been advised to check the fee structures, locations and available facilities of colleges before applying.
