Punjab Orders Promotion for Over 300,000 Teachers & Employees

The Punjab government has announced a massive relief package for its workforce. Authorities have issued directives to finalise pending promotions for over 300,000 teachers and government employees across the province.

According to an official notification from the Directorate of Public Instruction (Elementary) Punjab, this decision applies to all eligible employees in grades 1 to 16. The department has ordered these promotions to be completed within one month.

To ensure speed, the government has sent promotion orders to the Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of all districts. They must ensure timely implementation. Furthermore, the DPI Elementary Punjab has directed all relevant authorities to clear long-pending promotion files on a priority basis.

The government is taking a strict stance on execution. Officials have received stern warnings regarding the process. The administration will take disciplinary action in cases of unnecessary delay, negligence, or failure to process cases within the given timeframe.

Teachers and government staff have widely welcomed the decision. They call it a major relief for thousands of employees who faced stalled promotions for years. Ultimately, this move addresses longstanding grievances and restores confidence among the workforce.
