The Punjab government has proposed allocating 500 meters on both sides of the Rawalpindi Ring Road to create major development zones aimed at transforming the region’s economy and infrastructure.
A high-level meeting on Comprehensive Land Use Planning took place at the Rawalpindi Development Authority (RDA) Conference Room, chaired by RDA Director General Kinza Murtaza. Officials reviewed detailed plans for a coordinated development strategy along the corridor.

RDA Director General Kinza Murtaza underlined the far-reaching benefits of the Rawalpindi Ring Road Project. She said the project will help reduce traffic pressure in Rawalpindi and Islamabad while ensuring a clean, safe, and healthy environment for residents.
The officia stated that the initiative is expected to stimulate economic activity, create employment opportunities, and enhance urban services for the public. She added that construction work on the scheme is progressing and will be completed soon.
