The Punjab School Education Department has released more than Rs. 4.08 billion in non-salary funds for government primary, elementary and higher secondary schools across all 36 districts for the 2026-27 financial year.
The total allocation of Rs. 4.08875 billion will be used to meet approved non-salary expenses of government schools. The funds will be distributed through cheques issued via National Bank of Pakistan branches in the respective districts according to a prescribed schedule.
Lahore schools have been allocated Rs. 161.78 million, while Faisalabad will receive Rs. 225.97 million and Rawalpindi Rs. 142.08 million.
Gujranwala schools will receive Rs. 129.16 million, while Sialkot has been allocated Rs. 138.01 million. Bahawalnagar schools will receive Rs. 167.128 million, and Bahawalpur has been allocated Rs. 144.08 million.
The released funds are specifically earmarked for approved non-salary expenditures and will be utilized throughout the 2026-27 financial year.
The allocation is aimed at supporting the operational needs of government schools across Punjab and ensuring that educational institutions have funds available for essential non-salary requirements.
