The Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) has announced hundreds of new job opportunities, opening recruitment for 267 Police Communication Officer (PCO) positions. The hiring drive aims to strengthen Punjab’s public safety, surveillance, and emergency response system.
According to the official announcement, the vacancies are open to both male and female candidates, with all government quotas applicable. Women, minorities, and persons with special needs have been encouraged to apply.
Applicants must have 16 years of education in IT-related fields, including BCS, BBIT, BS Telecom, MBA-IT, MCS, MSc IT, or equivalent qualifications. Candidates with prior experience in police operations, IT projects, or call centres will be given preference. The maximum age limit is 28 years.
Only candidates holding a Punjab domicile are eligible to apply. Applicants from districts including Lahore, Rawalpindi, Attock, Chakwal, Jhelum, Murree, Nankana Sahib, Layyah, Rajanpur, Kot Addu, Taunsa, Chiniot, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, and Wazirabad have been specifically encouraged to submit applications.
PSCA stated that applications will be processed online through the National Testing Service (NTS) portal. Government employees must apply through proper departmental channels. Authorities said the recruitment process will be conducted transparently and on merit.
The Punjab Safe Cities Authority plays a key role in emergency response, traffic management, and law enforcement coordination through modern surveillance and communication systems. The latest recruitment drive is part of broader efforts to enhance public safety infrastructure across the province.
