Rawalpindi Police Place City on High Alert Amid Security Measures

Published by

Rawalpindi City Police have raised the city’s security level to high alert following directives from CPO Syed Khalid Mahmood Hamdani. Joint pickets with Islamabad Police, deployment of additional personnel, and strict checks at all entry and exit points are now fully operational to maintain law and order.

SSP Operations Malik Tariq Mahboob and SP Potohar, along with SSP Operations Islamabad, personally inspected the deployed forces and issued instructions to maintain vigilance. Special pickets have been set up on inter-provincial highways, the motorway, GT Road, and all adjoining link roads. Snap checks and strict monitoring are being conducted on vehicles, buses, wagons, and passengers entering and leaving the city.

Enhanced security is also in place at mosques, imambargahs, churches, and other sensitive locations. Search, sweep, and combing operations have been intensified around high-risk areas.

Elite Force, Dolphin Squad, Mohafiz Squad, and mobile police units are patrolling the city continuously. Safe City cameras are actively monitoring key locations and major roads 24/7. Supervisory officers are instructed to ensure strict oversight and regular supervision of deployed personnel.

With robust security arrangements, Rawalpindi Police aim to prevent unlawful activities and ensure public safety. Citizens are advised to cooperate with security checks and remain vigilant while traveling.
