Rawalpindi Reveal Australian Hard-Hitter as Direct Signing for PSL 11

Rawalpindi have revealed their direct signing by securing Australian cricketer Jake Fraser-McGurk ahead of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) 11, scheduled to take place from March 26 to May 3.

The hard-hitting batter has represented Australia in eight T20 internationals and is regarded as one of the most sought-after players in global franchise leagues.

The 23-year-old has showcased his skills in the Indian Premier League, Major League Cricket, and the Big Bash League, earning recognition for his explosive performances in the T20 format.

In his T20 career, Fraser-McGurk has played 98 matches, scoring 1,852 runs at an impressive strike rate of 149.11, including 11 half-centuries across domestic and international competitions.

For the first-ever PSL 11 player auction, the right-handed batter was listed with a high base price of 4.2 crore rupees but went unsold in both the main and accelerated auction rounds.

The rebranded Rawalpindi franchise, acquired by new owners after a historic auction earlier this month, secured Fraser-McGurk as a direct signing to strengthen their batting lineup.

The amount paid for Fraser-McGurk’s acquisition has not yet been disclosed by the Rawalpindi franchise, keeping the financial details of the direct signing confidential for the upcoming season.

On the eve of the auction, Rawalpindi confirmed Mohammad Rizwan, Zaman Khan, Yasir Khan, and Sam Billings as retentions.
