RawalPindiz confirmed the signing of New Zealand fast bowler Ben Sears on Wednesday, strengthening their bowling attack after injuries sidelined Naseem Shah and Zaman Khan.
The right-arm fast bowler, currently with New Zealand A in Sri Lanka, is expected to join the squad tomorrow, subject to clearance, marking his debut appearance in the PSL.
The star pacer previously featured in Major League Cricket with Washington Freedom and has represented New Zealand in 27 T20Is and four ODIs.
Naseem Shah remains part of the squad despite injury, with medical tests scheduled for 15 April to assess recovery progress and determine his potential return.
Team management confirmed Shah sustained a side injury against Karachi Kings, ruling him out for the foreseeable future, with rehabilitation closely monitored by medical staff.
Zaman Khan dislocated his right shoulder’s acromioclavicular joint while fielding in the National T20 Cup, leading to his replacement by Jalat Khan in the squad.
RawalPindiz, led by Mohammad Rizwan, are scheduled to play their next PSL fixture against Quetta Gladiators on 10 April, following confirmation of squad adjustments.
