Pakistan’s smartphone market is about to get busy, as two mid-range devices move closer to launch. One is expanding globally, while the other is already taking pre-orders locally. Together, they highlight how brands are pushing aggressive features in the same price segment.
Realme 16 5G Expected in Pakistan Soon
The Realme 16 5G is moving steadily across international markets. After spending nearly two months expanding globally, it is now being teased in India. The company has already confirmed April 2nd, Thursday, as the official launch date for that market.
This timeline strongly suggests that Pakistan could be next. If things go as expected, the device or the full series may arrive within the coming weeks.
Realme is promoting a new Air Design body. The phone measures 8.1mm in thickness and weighs 183 g. It features a flat chassis with rounded corners, giving it a design similar to Pixel devices.
The company calls it the Portrait Master due to its camera setup. The rear module shows three lenses, but only two have confirmed details. The main camera uses a 50MP OIS sensor. Alongside it sits a color spectrum sensor. A rear selfie mirror allows users to take selfies using the primary camera.
Interestingly, Realme did not cut corners on the front camera. It uses the same 50MP sensor seen on the Pro and Pro+ models.
The device runs on a Dimensity 6400 chipset. It comes with either 8GB or 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM. A large 7000mAh battery powers the phone, which is claimed to last two days. It also supports 60W fast charging.
On the front, there is a 6.57” flat AMOLED display. It offers a 120Hz refresh rate and 1080p FHD+ resolution. The phone also carries an IP69K waterproof rating. It ships with Android 16 and Realme UI 7.
Tecno Camon 50 Pro 4G Pre-Orders Underway in Pakistan
At the same time, the Tecno Camon 50 Pro 4G has already entered Pakistan’s market through pre-orders. The company shared a reservation link online, although the official price is still unknown.
Despite this, the response has been strong. The brand has crossed 10,000 early bookings so far. Deliveries were initially planned for March 28th, but the date has now shifted to April 5th.
Tecno is offering several incentives for early buyers. Each pre-order includes a free smartwatch worth Rs 10,000. Buyers also get 365-day screen insurance. In addition, every customer enters a lucky draw to win a REVOO Y06 E-bike.
The Camon 50 Pro in Pakistan is a 4G model. It runs on a Helio G200 processor, which places it in a lower performance tier. Unlike some competitors with 5G chips, this device focuses on affordability.
The rear camera module shows four lenses. However, one is likely used for an infrared remote. The main camera uses a 50MP sensor. It is paired with another 50MP telephoto lens offering 3X optical zoom. There is also an 8MP ultrawide camera.
On the front, the phone features a 32MP selfie camera inside a punch-hole cutout. The display is a 6.78” curved AMOLED panel. It supports a 144Hz refresh rate and a 1.5K resolution.
The device runs HiOS 16 based on Android 16. Tecno promises at least three years of OS updates. In Pakistan, it will be available in an 8GB RAM and 256GB storage variant.
The phone uses a plastic build but still offers durability. It carries an IP69K rating and SGS 3-star military-grade drop protection. The design is slim at 7.4mm, despite packing a 6150mAh battery. It supports 45W charging.
