Xiaomi has confirmed the launch date, design, and key specifications of the Redmi K100 in China. The new smartphone will arrive on October 28, joining the Redmi K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max, which debuted in August.
Redmi confirmed the launch date in an official Weibo post. The company also showcased the phone in a new Firefly Green color, giving buyers another look at its design. Pre-orders for the Redmi K100 are already open in China.
The Redmi K100 will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with Xiaomi’s D2 display chipset. According to the company, the phone will support a 165Hz refresh rate in more than 40 games. This should offer smoother visuals during supported gaming sessions.
The smartphone will also feature a large 10,000mAh battery. On the front, it will sport a 6.83-inch AMOLED display with peak brightness reaching 3,500 nits. Additionally, the Redmi K100 will run Xiaomi’s HyperOS 4 out of the box.
Alongside the Redmi K100, Xiaomi will introduce the Redmi Clip Neo open-ear earphones. More details about the phone and its availability outside China have yet to be announced.
