Resident Evil Requiem Leaker Crushes ‘Ada Wong’ & ‘Chris Redfield’ Return Rumours

Published by

With the February 27 launch of Resident Evil Requiem approaching, rumours are circulating wildly. Fans hope for the return of franchise veterans Ada Wong and Chris Redfield. However, a prominent source has aggressively shut these hopes down.

Resident Evil Requiem “Fake Leak” Confirmed

Dusk Golem, a renowned Resident Evil leaker, addressed the speculation directly. He labelled the reports of Ada and Chris appearing in the new game as a “fake leak”. Furthermore, he clarified that he never accredited these rumours to himself.

According to Dusk Golem, neither character will appear “in any meaningful way”. He also reminded fans of a crucial fact. The game’s director previously stated in an official capacity that Chris Redfield would not be in Requiem. While an off-handed reference or file mention remains possible, players should not expect a physical appearance. Dusk Golem also noted that “murmurs” suggest an older character might appear in future DLC, but it likely won’t be Chris or Ada.

Leon Returns Alongside New Face

Despite the absence of Chris and Ada, the game features significant star power. Resident Evil Requiem officially confirms the return of Leon S. Kennedy. He will co-star with a new protagonist, Grace Ashcroft. Capcom reportedly delayed Leon’s reveal to build anticipation and give Grace the spotlight.

Additionally, the Umbrella Corporation makes a confirmed return. This suggests high stakes for the duo beyond just Raccoon City nostalgia.

Resident Evil Requiem launches on February 27. It will be available on Nintendo Switch 2, PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.
