Riddara RD6 Electric Pickup Set to Launch in Pakistan
Pakistan is set to make history in the electric vehicle (EV) market with the imminent arrival of its first electric pickup truck, the “Riddara RD6”.
Recently spotted in Karachi, this long-awaited vehicle is expected to officially hit the roads by August or September, according to the local distributor Capital Smart Motors (CSM).
Originally teased in May, the RD6’s appearance in Karachi confirms that preparations for its launch are in the final stages. The electric pickup is manufactured by Radar Auto, which operates under the umbrella of the global automotive giant Geely Auto Group.
Power and Performance
While exact specifications for Pakistan are still under wraps, the global variant of the “Riddara RD6” offers high-end performance. It comes equipped with a 315 kW permanent magnet synchronous motor, producing 595 Nm of torque and achieving a top speed of 190 km/h. The vehicle also boasts impressive acceleration, 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds.
Its 86 kWh ternary lithium battery ensures a driving range of up to 455 km on a full charge. This makes it a powerful and practical option for both urban and rugged use.
Beyond performance, the RD6 delivers on comfort and design. Inside, it features synthetic leather seats.
There is a 10.2-inch digital display. It also offers multiple driving modes, including off-road and sport. These modes help suit different conditions and preferences.
The truck supports fast DC charging. Additionally, uers can charge the battery from 30% to 80% in about 32 minutes. This is a key convenience feature for electric vehicle users.
