Samsung Knox has partnered with Mobilink Jazz to introduce security platform for mobile devices in Pakistan.
The Samsung Knox launch event took place at Avari Hotel Karachi. The twitter handle states,
“Launching Samsung Knox Powered by Jazz! Redefine the way you manage and secure your mobile infrastructure! Now CEOs and CIOs can keep their mobile device management and data security concerns at bay with Samsung Knox.”
Samsung Knox is a defense-grade security platform which protects the confidential data on mobile devices. In Pakistan, it will help the government, law enforcement agencies and industries with advanced security needs. Regional Head of Samsung Knox Pakistan, Ramzi Fawakhiri explained it as,
“Word Knox comes from ‘Fort Knox’ where America keeps its gold reserves, underground, with many laser and heat detectors. It is the most secured spot in the world and that’s why we named it ‘Knox’. Samsung Knox provides B2B solutions in advanced security platform.”
Samsung Knox protects the hardware and software of mobile devices and provides customized solutions and advanced mobile management. Samsung Knox is a multi-layered technology. Any company or industry which uses Knox solutions will have an IT admin who will use Enterprise Mobile Management (EMM) cloud-based solution to enforce certain IT policies and rules through mobile devices. There will be no need of additional servers in IT environment in order to deploy this technology.
Head of Mobilink Operations, Zahid Iqbal said that this partnership will provide ITC solutions in fields like smart home, agriculture, voice automated systems etc. He added that the Mobilink aims to move forward with more such partnerships in future.
