The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) has announced that all its offices will remain closed on March 23, 2026, in observance of Pakistan Day.
The closure follows a public holiday declared by the government, meaning commercial banks across the country will also suspend operations for the day.
In an official statement, the central bank confirmed that the holiday will be observed nationwide, with no banking services available on the specified date. This includes both SBP offices and private as well as public sector banks.
The announcement aligns with the annual holiday calendar issued by the Cabinet Division, which lists March 23 as a public holiday across Pakistan. As a result, financial institutions will remain closed in line with government directives.
