Schools in Quetta Closed Until Tomorrow Amid Security Concerns

The provincial authorities in Quetta have ordered the closure of all educational institutions, including government, private, and semi-government schools, until November 14, 2025, due to security concerns.

The sudden closure affects thousands of students, especially those preparing for Class 9 and 10 examinations. The decision highlights ongoing security challenges in Balochistan, prompting authorities to prioritize student safety.

Board officials confirmed that exams for Classes 9 and 10 have been postponed, with new dates to be announced soon.

“We are revising the exam schedule and will communicate fresh dates once the situation stabilizes,” said a Quetta Board official.

Private schools have reportedly started online classes to ensure students continue learning during the closure. The decision has sparked discussions about security preparedness and its impact on the education system in the region.

This temporary shutdown underscores the importance of balancing student safety with uninterrupted academic progress.
