SECP Reveals List of 125 Foreign Companies That Exited Pakistan

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) has released a list of 125 foreign companies that have formally closed operations in Pakistan as of January 20, 2026. The list includes branch and liaison offices across Karachi, Lahore, Islamabad, and Peshawar.

The companies operated in various sectors of the economy, highlighting a diverse foreign business presence prior to closure. Countries represented include the United States, United Kingdom, UAE, China, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Turkey, Australia, Sweden, Bahrain, Canada, France, Netherlands, among others.

SECP clarified that some companies had ceased operations earlier but were officially recorded as wound up by the specified date. The release provides an official record for regulatory compliance and transparency regarding foreign business exits.
