The Sindh Education Ministry has officially approved the academic calendar for the 2026-27 school year, detailing the schedule for holidays, examinations, admissions, and result announcements across the province.
The decision was taken during a steering committee meeting chaired by Sindh Education Minister Sardar Ali Shah.
According to the approved calendar, the new academic year will commence on April 1, 2026. Admissions for students from grade 9 and below will remain open from March 1 to March 31, 2026.
The committee announced that summer holidays will be observed from June 1 to July 31, 2026, while winter holidays will take place from December 21 to December 31, 2026.
Board examinations for grades 9 and 10 will be conducted between March 30 and April 15, 2026. The result for grade 10 will be announced on June 1, followed by the grade 9 result on June 15, 2026.
Admissions for grade 11, under the Central Admission Policy, will begin from June 1 and continue until the last week of July 2026. Meanwhile, examinations for grades 11 and 12 are scheduled from April 15 to April 30, 2026. The result for grade 12 will be announced on June 15, while grade 11 results will be declared on July 1, 2026.
To simplify the academic process, students from grades 1 to 3 will be promoted to the next class without examinations. Exams for grades 4 to 8 will be held between March 1 and March 15, 2026.
The approved schedule aims to ensure timely academic activities and streamline admissions and examination processes across Sindh for the upcoming academic year.
