The Sindh government has decided to digitize the retirement records of government employees in all departments, and employees will receive their gratuity and General Provident (GP) Fund payments on the day they retire.
The College Education Department has issued a notification to implement the decision. It was approved by Department Secretary Nadeem-ur-Rehman Memon and issued under the signature of Section Officer (General Administration) Ghulam Mustafa.
The notification directs that each employee’s record be prepared and submitted six months before the date of retirement, so that payments can be made on time.
It states that any delay in paying gratuity and GP Fund to retiring employees will not be acceptable. The departments concerned have been instructed to resolve all matters related to these payments within the stipulated time.
