The Government of Sindh has announced spring holidays for colleges across the province, directing institutions to remain closed for 16 days from March 16 to March 31, 2026.
According to a notification issued by the Sindh College Education Department (CED), the decision was taken following a directive from the Services, General Administration and Coordination Department (SGA&CD) and in light of ongoing energy conservation measures.
The notification states that all public and private colleges operating under the administrative control of the College Education Department will observe the holidays during the specified period. However, institutions have been instructed to conduct online classes where necessary to ensure continuity in academic activities.
Officials also clarified that all scheduled examinations, including mock exams, will proceed according to the existing timetable and will not be affected by the closure of regular classes.
The directive was issued by the Sindh government through the College Education Department in Karachi on March 11, 2026.
