Sindh Government Orders Strict Fire Safety Measures at All Offices

Published by

The Government of Sindh has directed all government offices across the province to implement strict fire safety arrangements immediately. Officials have emphasized that all offices must fully comply with fire safety regulations, including a strict ban on LPG cylinders inside office premises. Security guards have been instructed to remain on duty around the clock to ensure quick response in case of emergencies.

The government has ordered the installation of firefighting equipment and fire alarm systems in every office to ensure early detection and timely response. All office staff are to receive proper fire safety training, and emergency contact numbers, including the special Rescue 1122 hotline, must be prominently displayed within office premises.

Authorities have further stressed the importance of regular inspections of electrical appliances to prevent fire hazards. Offices are required to remove garbage and any flammable materials, while clear access routes must be maintained so that fire brigade vehicles can reach buildings without obstruction. Comprehensive fire safety audits of all departments are to be carried out, and regular fire contingency drills will be conducted to ensure staff preparedness and effective emergency response.

The provincial government has made it clear that these measures are crucial to prevent fire incidents and safeguard both government staff and property.
