All schools and colleges across Sindh will remain closed on March 11 as the province observes Youm-e-Ali. The provincial government has issued an official notification confirming that both public and private educational institutions will observe the holiday on Wednesday.
According to the notification, the decision was taken following recommendations by the Sindh government’s sub-committee of the steering committee on education. As a result, classrooms across the Province will remain shut as a holiday.
Youm-e-Ali is observed every year on the 21st of Ramadan to commemorate the martyrdom of Hazrat Ali (RA), one of the most respected figures in Islamic history.
Across Pakistan, the day is marked by religious gatherings and large processions, particularly in major cities where people gather to pay tribute and remember his teachings and sacrifices.
