TECNO has launched the POVA Curve 2 5G in Pakistan, featuring an 8,000mAh battery in a slim 7.42mm body. The phone weighs 195g and comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It is priced at Rs. 99,999, with sales starting October 15.
The POVA Curve 2 5G is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 5G processor. It targets users who need reliable performance for gaming, streaming, and multitasking. According to TECNO, the phone can run Free Fire at 60fps for 90 minutes. Its Ice Cooling 3.0 system helps manage heat during gameplay.
The phone also supports 20 5G bands and includes TECNO’s signal enhancement technology. The company claims it can deliver up to 100% stronger signals indoors and in basements. It also offers up to 60% stronger Wi-Fi connectivity, with TÜV certification. Additionally, TECNO says the device is certified to remain lag-free for six years.
Battery life is another major selling point. TECNO claims the 8,000mAh battery can provide more than 15 days of standby time. Its TÜV certification also covers extended battery life of more than three days. The phone supports 45W wired fast charging, which takes it from empty to full in 82 minutes. It also offers 10W reverse charging and bypass charging.
TECNO says the battery is designed to handle 2,000 charging cycles, providing up to six years of safe and durable use. Despite the large battery, the phone measures just 7.42mm thick. This makes it the thinnest phone among devices equipped with an 8,000mAh battery, according to the company.
The POVA Curve 2 5G features a curved 144Hz AMOLED display with peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits. The high refresh rate supports smoother scrolling and gameplay, while the brightness helps maintain visibility in direct sunlight. For gaming, the display includes 16x touch resolution and a 2160Hz instant touch sampling rate. TECNO has also added multi-scenario anti-mistouch technology to improve touch accuracy with wet or oily hands.
The phone’s design takes inspiration from interstellar spaceships, with flowing lines and a symmetrical layout. It is available in Melting Silver, Mystic Purple, and Storm Titanium. The device also carries an IP64 rating for dust and water resistance. Its display is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 7i, while SGS-certified testing covers drops from heights of up to 1.5 meters.
For photography, the POVA Curve 2 5G features a 50MP primary rear camera and a 2MP macro camera. A 13MP front camera handles selfies and video calls. TECNO has also included several AI-powered tools, such as AI Eraser 2.0 for removing unwanted objects and people. AI Flare Remover helps reduce glare and haze, while Image-to-Live turns still photos into moving images.
Other software features include AI Noise Cancellation for clearer calls and the Ella voice assistant. Ella supports two-way call translation, including WhatsApp calls, along with WhatsApp summaries and one-tap question-and-answer features.
The TECNO POVA Curve 2 5G will be available across Pakistan from October 15 for Rs. 99,999.
