Ubisoft Finally Teases “Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced” After Major Leaks

Published by

Ubisoft has finally acknowledged the persistent rumours surrounding Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced. The gaming giant recently broke its silence following a series of leaks. While the studio has not officially announced the game, a recent social media interaction suggests the project is very real.

The “Here We Go Again” Confirmation

A new image of an Edward Kenway statue recently surfaced online. In response, Ubisoft’s official X account replied with the iconic “Here we go again” screenshot from GTA: San Andreas. This interaction surprised fans. It seemingly confirms the game’s existence without a formal announcement.

Previously, Ubisoft’s internal schedule set Black Flag Resynced for a March release. However, the exact timeframe is now unknown. A swath of delays has pushed the remake further back. CEO Yves Guillemot had previously suggested that multiple Assassin’s Creed remakes are coming. Additionally, insiders claim the studio may roll out 60 FPS upgrades for older franchise titles.

Cancellations & Ubisoft Studio Shifts

This news comes during a turbulent time for Ubisoft. The studio recently confirmed that the Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time remake is officially cancelled. This decision caused significant backlash. Reports indicate other games were shelved alongside it. Furthermore, insiders claim Ubisoft may be finished with the Watch Dogs series entirely.

Despite these setbacks, leaks hint at other upcoming reveals, such as a Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition.

What’s Next for Assassin’s Creed

Black Flag Resynced joins a busy roadmap. Assassin’s Creed Hexe is rumoured to launch sometime this year (2026). It reportedly features a darker tone and focuses on 16th-century witch trials. Meanwhile, Assassin’s Creed: Jade, a mobile-oriented action RPG set in ancient China, is also in development.

Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag remains a fan favourite for its naval combat and deep world. If this recent acknowledgement is any sign, a full reveal for the Resynced version may finally be on the horizon.
