Telecom users in the capital have something to celebrate today. Ufone is quietly rolling out its 5G network across Islamabad. Surprisingly, the telecom operator has not made any official rollout announcement yet. Furthermore, Ufone has not released an official 5G coverage map for the public.
However, some credible tech journalists have manually tracked these next-generation signals. As of July 1, 2026, they have mapped out a comprehensive list of verified Ufone 5G sites. Consequently, we now know exactly where you can experience these blazing-fast speeds in the city.
Verified Sector & Commercial Ufone 5G Coverage
Ufone has activated 5G across several major residential and commercial hubs. Currently, the most prominent coverage areas include the F and G sectors, along with Jinnah Avenue.
| General Area | Specific Active Locations |
|---|---|
| F-Sectors | F-11 Markaz, F-10/2, F-10/3, F-9 Park, F-8/1, F-8/4, F-7, F-6 |
| G-Sectors | G-9/2, G-9/3, G-8, G-7, G-6/1, G-6/4, G-5/1 |
| Blue Area & Jinnah Ave | New Blue Area, Near Centaurus, Near Savour Foods |

Note: In Sector F-10/3, the strongest signals sit near the Margalla Road traffic signal. Meanwhile, F-6 coverage centers heavily around the United Bakery area.
In addition to residential sectors, Ufone is targeting major transit routes. Commuters can now access 5G while driving on key highways.
Specifically, the verified highway sites include:
- Margalla Road: Active signals near Sector E-10.
- Srinagar Highway: Verified coverage near the Serena Hotel and the sections closely bordering Sector G-8.
- Islamabad Expressway: Active sites near Sector G-8 and the Faizabad interchange connecting to Murree Road.
What Comes Next?
Since Ufone has not officially acknowledged this rollout, the exact timeline for a city-wide launch remains unclear. Therefore, this list relies entirely on manual verification.
Currently, users continue to discover new active zones. We will update this coverage map as more Ufone 5G sites go live across Islamabad.
