USD to PKR Today: Pakistani Rupee Green for 71st Consecutive Day

The Pakistani Rupee (PKR) continued its positive streak against the US Dollar (USD), closing at 280.11 PKR on Friday, marking the 71st consecutive day in green. The rupee also posted gains against most other major currencies, reflecting growing market confidence as Pakistan enters 2026.
The PKR strengthened by one paisa against the UAE Dirham (AED) and remained positive against the Saudi Riyal (SAR). It also gained 12 paisas against the British Pound (GBP), while losing 34 paisas against the Australian Dollar (AUD). Other currencies, including the Euro (EUR), Chinese Yuan (CNY), Canadian Dollar (CAD), and Malaysian Ringgit (MYR), showed minor fluctuations as per the interbank market rates.
The rupee’s ongoing strength highlights a period of stability amid global economic uncertainties. Analysts suggest that continued support from government measures and increased foreign inflows are keeping the PKR buoyant. Currency experts note that sustained gains could positively impact imports, inflation control, and investor confidence in Pakistan’s economy.
A market analyst commented, “The Pakistani rupee’s consistent performance against the USD and other major currencies indicates improved market sentiment. While minor fluctuations are natural, the overall trend remains bullish.”
