Vivo has confirmed the launch date of its upcoming Y600 smartphone in China. The company has also revealed that the device will feature a massive 10,000mAh battery. The vivo Y600 will launch on October 30, with pre-orders opening early next week. It will join the existing lineup, which includes the Vivo Y600 Pro, Y600 Turbo, and Y600i.
Earlier this month, the smartphone appeared on the Google Play Console, hinting at its upcoming release. Now, Vivo has shared more details about the device ahead of its official debut. The company also claims the Y600 has set a Guinness World Record for the longest continuous smartphone livestream test. Conducted on August 11, the test lasted 32 hours and 37 minutes.
Vivo has showcased the phone in two color options. Its design features a dual rear camera setup and resembles the recently launched vivo S2 FE. This has raised speculation that the Y600 could be a rebranded version of the S2 FE.
Meanwhile, a tipster has revealed additional specifications. The Vivo Y600 is reportedly powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300e chipset and features a 50MP main rear camera. The device is also expected to carry an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. Vivo has yet to confirm these reported specifications officially. More details about the phone are expected to emerge as its October 30 launch approaches.
