Vivo S50 Leak Confirms Snapdragon 8s Gen 3, 50MP Cameras, 6,500mAh Battery
Vivo is preparing to launch its new S50 series in China, with the official debut set for December 15. Ahead of the release, the standard S50 has appeared on the China Telecom website, revealing full specifications and confirming key details about the device.
The vivo S50 is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of internal storage. It features a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a sharp 2750 x 1260-pixel resolution and runs OriginOS 16 based on Android 16.
Battery life is expected to be robust, as the phone packs a 6,500mAh unit. Camera capabilities are also highlighted, with a triple rear setup consisting of a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP periscope telephoto lens, and an 8MP ultrawide sensor. For selfies and video calls, the front camera is a 50MP shooter.
Alongside the S50, vivo will also release the S50 Pro mini. This model is confirmed to feature the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC, a smaller 6.31-inch display, and a triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto lens. The Pro mini also shares the 6,500mAh battery of the S50 but adds 90W wired charging support for faster top-ups.
Both phones will become available in China on December 15, marking vivo’s latest push into high-performance, camera-focused smartphones for the domestic market.
