Vivo S50 Pro Mini Leak Highlights Design, Display, and Charging Capabilities
Vivo is preparing to expand its S-series lineup in China next month, and the S50 Pro mini is quickly becoming the center of attention. After confirming the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset, the company has now revealed the phone’s full design along with several important details, setting the stage for an early spotlight before launch.
Han Boxiao, a senior executive at Vivo, shared the first official look on Weibo. The S50 Pro mini features a pill-shaped horizontal camera island, which brings it closer to the style seen on the Honor 500 series and the iPhone Air. The design choice gives the device a distinct identity while keeping it aligned with current premium smartphone trends.
The phone will ship with a triple rear camera setup. This includes a Sony IMX882 periscope telephoto lens, which aims to boost long-range imaging. A 50MP front camera will handle selfies and video calls, offering a sharp upgrade for creators.
Vivo has also confirmed a 6.31-inch flat display paired with a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint 2.0 scanner. The S50 Pro mini will carry IP68 and IP69 ratings, ensuring it can withstand water and dust far better than typical mid-range phones.
The battery setup is another highlight. The device will pack a large 6,500mAh cell that supports 90W wired charging and 40W wireless charging. An X-axis linear motor and UFS 4.1 storage round out the key hardware features, signaling that vivo is positioning this model firmly in the performance category.
