Whatsapp Enhances Call Experience With New Mute Camera And Emoji Features

WhatsApp is currently testing new features aimed at improving the audio and video call experience for its Android users. The latest update, available in the beta version 2.25.10.16, introduces a series of practical enhancements.

The first feature allows users to mute an incoming voice call directly from the notification panel, making it easier to answer while keeping the microphone off. This could prove useful in noisy environments or when you want to answer without speaking immediately.

Another new feature provides the option to turn off the camera before answering a video call. This addition gives users more privacy and control, especially when they need a moment to prepare or simply don’t want to be seen on camera right away.

Additionally, WhatsApp is introducing emoji reactions for video calls, enabling participants to react in real time with a selection of emojis, adding a fun and engaging element to the conversation.

These features are currently being tested by a limited group of beta users, with plans for wider availability in the coming weeks. The changes are expected to enhance the overall calling experience on the platform, offering more flexibility and personalization for users.
