Chairperson BISP Senator Rubina Khalid presided over the wrap-up meeting of the World Bank Implementation Support Mission for the Crisis Resilient Social Protection (CRISP) Programme at BISP Headquarters today.
During the meeting, Chairperson BISP emphasized the importance of revised survey questionnaires, spot checks, Proxy Means Test (PMT), and the recertification process to further enhance transparency and operational efficiency. She highlighted the need to ensure continuity of the recertification process, strengthen monitoring mechanisms, and incorporate beneficiary feedback to improve service delivery and ensure support reaches the most deserving families.
The World Bank delegation, led by Mr. Amjad Zafar Khan, Senior Social Protection Specialist and Task Team Leader, included Mr. Gul Najam Jamy, Social Protection Consultant, and Ms. Sarah Nizami. The mission presented its findings on the Disbursement Linked Indicators (DLIs), particularly relating to education, health, and nutrition initiatives, and highlighted that BISP has made substantial progress with several targets successfully achieved.
Key discussions also covered cloud-based data sharing, a beneficiary-centric payment model, and the Hybrid Social Protection Scheme. Mr. Amjad Zafar Khan appreciated BISP’s progress under the CRISP Programme and assured continued technical support and cooperation from the World Bank to further strengthen social protection initiatives.
Additional Secretary BISP Dr. Asmat Nawaz, along with Directors General and senior officers, also attended the meeting.
