Users in Pakistan were among those affected as disruptions hit social media platform, X on Wednesday, according to outage tracking website Downdetector.
The service reported that 158 users in Pakistan flagged issues with the platform by 8:21pm local time, indicating limited but noticeable disruption in the country.
In the United States, the outage appeared more widespread, with more than 14,000 users reporting problems accessing the platform by 8:05pm PKT, equivalent to 11:05am Eastern Time.
Media reports from India also suggested that the disruption extended beyond these regions, with users in the country experiencing similar issues while attempting to access the platform.
The actual number of affected users may vary, as Downdetector compiles outage data based on reports submitted directly by users across multiple sources.
The company behind X did not immediately respond to a request for comment from Reuters regarding the outage.
